About me
After joining the RSPB in 1987, I decided to take up wildlife photography as an aid to identification of all forms of wildlife. In 1992 I started giving talks in my local area. I now travel mainly around the south of England, giving talks to RSPB Groups, Womens Institutes, Photographic Societies, Wildlife Trust Groups, Gardening Clubs, U3A, Probus and Ladies groups. I have also given talks, seven times, to the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Arundel. I have been registered in the RSPB’s book of speakers for several years, as well as the Womens Institute & the Southern Photographic Federation handbooks.
My initial photography was during my annual leave, but since retiring in early 2012 from Local Government, I have travelled to various European destinations, either using my motorhome in France or photographic hides in Hungary, Sweden, Finland, Norway & Romania. I have also visited, Lesbos, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Spitsbergen, Iceland and on four occasions, the USA & Canada. The UK includes Scotland & some of the Scottish Islands.
In the photographic trips section, the various countries are listed and by clicking on any of those, you will see a variety of images. If you click on any of the headings in the talks section, you will discover what the talk covers along with a few images.
All talks are by digital presentation & all equipment is supplied by me.
If your speaker is unable to attend, for any reason, it is possible that I could be available at the last minute, providing there is enough time for travelling.
